Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Kariman, a young girl from Egypt, for her rendition of the patriotic song ‘Desh Rangeela’ during the 75th Republic Day celebrations at India House.

The PM wrote in a post on X: “This rendition by Kariman from Egypt is melodious! I congratulate her for this effort and wish her the very best for her future endeavours.”

Kariman’s performance at India House drew appreciation from a diverse audience of Indians and Egyptians, who attended the celebration.

The Indian Embassy in Egypt also shared a video of her performance. The Embassy stated, “A young Egyptian girl Kariman presented a patriotic song ‘Desh Rangeela’ during 75th #RepublicDay celebrations at India House. Her melodious singing and correct intonation impressed the large gathering of Indians and Egyptians.”
