New Delhi: Several people visiting Pollution Under Control Centres (PUCCs) at petrol pumps for pollution certificates for their vehicles had to return empty-handed as 600 such centres were closed on Monday as part of a strike called by petrol dealers and pump owners. The closure call of PUCCs by the Delhi Petrol Dealers’ Association comes following the government’s proposed hike in pollution certificate charges. TNS

Youth Congress membership drive

New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav on Monday launched a membership drive for the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress (DPYC) in view of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) elections. Mohalla bus service begins

New Delhi: The trial run of the Delhi Government’s mohalla bus service commenced on Monday on two routes and will continue for a week, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said. He said there would be 2,080 buses under the scheme and the government plans to introduce all by 2025.
