A prisoner of Faridabad’s Neemka jail threatened to shoot the Assistant Superintendent and the head warder. He made a noise while talking on the phone, and when interrupted, he not only misbehaved with the head warder but also tore off his uniform.

According to the complaint filed by head warder Devi Singh, a staff member told him that the prisoner, Lalit, was creating a ruckus to make a call.

“On the complaint of the telephone booth in-charge, I called the prisoner. When I confronted him, he not only tore off my uniform but also pushed me back. Assistant Superintendent Umesh Kumar then reached the spot. Lalit threatened to shoot me and Kumar in front of the guards,” the head warder said.

The FIR was registered against the prisoner for obstructing government duty, tearing uniform during government duty and threatening to kill at the Sadar, Ballabhgarh police station.

“Action will be taken according to whatever facts emerge,” Inspector Umesh Kumar, SHO of the Sadar, Ballabhgarh police station, said.
