At around 9.20 am, the police spotted three individuals unloading cartons from a scooter without a number plate. While two of the suspects managed to escape, the police arrested Ravi Singh and seized three cartons of liquor from the scooter. An additional 57 cartons were found nearby in the adjacent forest area. A case has been registered under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 at the Tigri police station.

The police said during questioning, Ravi Singh, 32, a resident of Sangam Vihar, revealed he had switched from being a Rapido rider to a liquor supplier. He admitted he had been lured by promises of quick and easy money and began transporting illegal liquor from Haryana to Delhi.

The accused was also involved in a previous case under the Delhi Excise Act at the same police station in 2023.
