Rekha performs Rudrabhishek at Chandni Chowk temple, extends Mahashivratri wishes

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta performed Rudrabhishek at the ancient Shri Gauri Shankar Temple in Chandni Chowk here on the occasion of Maha Shivratri on Wednesday. She prayed for the health, prosperity and development of the people of Delhi.

In her address after the ceremony, CM Gupta said: “I prayed to Lord Shiva for the welfare of all humanity and sought strength to build a developed Delhi.” She also extended her warm wishes to the people of Delhi on this auspicious occasion.

Along with the CM, prominent BJP leaders, including MP Praveen Khandelwal, Delhi BJP media head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, BJP leaders Bhupendra Gothwal and Satish Jain, were also present.

The temple committee, led by Subhash Goyal, Balram Garg and several esteemed priests, blessed and honoured the Chief Minister during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh. Describing the occasion as a symbol of Sanatan culture’s glory and unity, Sachdeva prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Delhi.

Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra visited Shiva temple in Panchsheel Garden, Naveen Shahdara, offering prayers for the good health of the people of Delhi. Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta also visited Shiva temple in Sector 18, Rohini, praying for the re-establishment of high constitutional traditions in Delhi.

Other Delhi BJP leaders, including MPs Yogendra Chandolia, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Bansuri Swaraj, and Vishnu Mittal, offered prayers at various temples across the city, seeking prosperity and well-being for all.

Delhi government ministers also participated in the religious observances, with Minister Ashish Sood performing puja at Jhandewalan Temple and Minister Ravindra Indraraj Singh performing Jalabhishek at Dada Choudharana Temple in Puth Kala. Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa worshipped Lord Shiva at Vishnu Garden Shiva temple, praying for the development of the city.
