Marking the completion of 100 days in office, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta embarked on a two-day spiritual visit to Uttarakhand, where she took a holy dip in the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar, and prayed for the well-being and progress of Delhi’s citizens. During her visit, she sought Maa Ganga’s blessings to make the Yamuna clean.

She also engaged in special rituals and received blessings from prominent spiritual leaders, including Didi Maa Ritambhara, Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji, Raj Rajeshwar Maharaj and Swami Chidanand Saraswati.

“My prayer to Maa Ganga is for her blessings to always remain with us. May the divine grace help Delhi achieve new milestones in prosperity, safety and development. The peace, energy and spiritual fulfillment I experienced after taking a dip in the holy Ganga cannot be expressed in words,” the Chief Minister said.

“Just like the Ganga flows uninterrupted and pure here, the Yamuna in Delhi too should flow clean and serene. Our effort is to honour and nurture the faith and devotion that people of Delhi hold for the Yamuna,” she said.

The visit follows her participation in a Yamuna aarti held in Delhi a day earlier. CM Gupta said her government was committed to rejuvenating the Yamuna through both spiritual devotion and policy action, reaffirming the public’s emotional and religious bond with the river.

Later in the day, Gupta inaugurated the Vatsalya Ganga Ashray in Kankhal, where she was joined by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Acharya Balkrishna, Didi Maa Ritambhara, Swami Paramanand Ji and other spiritual dignitaries and public representatives.

“May people someday bathe in the Yamuna, sip its waters and perform aarti at all ghats in Delhi,” CM Gupta said, addressing the gathering.

Uttarakhand CM Dhami lauded Gupta’s vision and resolve. He also extended his best wishes to his Delhi counterpart.

The Delhi CM also visited the Harihar Ashram and Jagadguru Ashram, where she received blessings from Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji and Raj Rajeshwaram Maharaj. Her spiritual journey concluded with a grand Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ghat in Rishikesh, where she was joined by Swami Chidanand Saraswati and renowned speaker Murli Ji.
