2 brothers arrested for espionage activities and procuring passports using forged documents

Hussain (59) was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police from Seemapuri, East Delhi, while Akhtar was nabbed by the Mumbai police, sources said.
According to sources, the duo is involved in supplying sensitive information to foreign countries and in procuring Indian passports using forged documents.
From his possession, one original and two forged passports were recovered, a senior police official said.
Hussain was produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class Sahil Monga, and a week’s police remand was obtained for carrying out interrogation, the official added.
The investigators are trying to find out who the accused was in contact with, how he obtained the information, and who he was sharing it with.
According to sources, Akhtar had visited Gulf countries multiple times and has obtained three ID cards from a secret centre.
The investigation teams are trying to find out as to how many people they have handed over fake passports to.
