Seva Bharti, Delhi, is set to organise the “Run for a Girl Child” event at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday in a bid to promote awareness about girls’ education, health and self-reliance.

The run will begin at 5.30 am, and aims to strengthen public consciousness around the empowerment and wellbeing of girls, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.

People from several fields — media, corporate, sports, social and spiritual sectors — are likely to take part in the event to support the cause.

Organisers have urged Delhiites to attend the event with their families and friends.
