Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has submitted a video recording to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Commissioner Ashwani Kumar, demanding the cancellation of the proceedings of the MCD House meeting held on February 25. The meeting, chaired by Mayor Mahesh Khichi, was allegedly conducted illegally, according to Sachdeva.

Sachdeva claimed that the meeting was scheduled for 2 pm, but the Mayor arrived at 1:59 pm and began proceedings at exactly 2 pm without completing the necessary constitutional quorum.

“The Municipal Commissioner was absent and AAP councillors pressured the Additional Commissioner to take the Commissioner’s seat, which she refused,” Sachdeva said in his statement.

The video, submitted by Sachdeva, allegedly shows that the Mayor, under pressure from Leader of the House Mukesh Goyal, presented the agenda without reading it aloud. Despite objections from BJP councilors, who were entering the House, Mayor Khichi reportedly declared the agenda "passed" multiple times before leaving.

“No agenda was read, so the question arises—what exactly was passed?” Sachdeva questioned.

He further criticised the meeting's proceedings, which lasted less than three minutes, and demanded that the MCD Commissioner declare the entire session illegal.
