Amid heightened tensions following recent cross-border attacks, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva praised the Army’s decisive action under Operation Sindoor, calling it a powerful response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. He said the entire nation stands in gratitude for the bravery and resolve shown by the armed forces in defending India’s borders.

Sachdeva emphasised that every resident of Delhi now holds an important civic responsibility. “In this environment, it is essential that all citizens strictly follow government instructions and remain alert,” he said. He highlighted the Delhi government’s preparedness under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and noted that air raid sirens have been installed in the Capital as a precautionary alert system.

The Delhi BJP chief urged residents to support the local police, avoid spreading misinformation and verify content before sharing anything online, especially on social media. “Cyber attacks may also be attempted, so citizens must be cautious before clicking any suspicious links,” he warned.

Sachdeva also reiterated the importance of relying on official government and Army statements for updates and discouraged the sharing of unverified information that could threaten national security.

Echoing similar sentiments, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) lauded the government’s leadership and hailed the Indian armed forces for launching Operation Sindoor in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. In a statement, the ABVP described the operation as more than a military move, calling it a “symbol of national resolve and pride”.

ABVP’s national general secretary Virendra Singh Solanki said, “Operation Sindoor is a bold and necessary step that underlines our country’s security policy and leadership resolve.” He added that eradicating Pakistan-backed terrorism is vital for long-term peace and global safety.

The ABVP urged all citizens to maintain unity, patience and harmony, and to support the administration in ensuring that anti-national conspiracies do not succeed.
