Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia interacted with students of SKV/SBV, West Vinod Nagar, during a “happiness class” on Saturday.

After resuming his office for the third time, this was his first visit as the Education Minister of Delhi. He interacted with students and participated in the “mindfulness class” along with them. In a series of tweets later, the Deputy CM said, “Happiness classes bring about a positive change in children and it’s good to note the psychological and emotional development of the students through the curriculum. We started happiness classes some 1.5 yrs ago. Happiness curriculum has been instrumental in making our kids evolve as good, responsible human beings.”

“We conduct meditation classes, have been teaching emotional stories with a good message and have been trying to work on the emotional development of the children. After introducing happiness classes, the children have become more reciprocative and aware of the efforts of their parents, have started to treat them with respect, and have been trying to develop healthy relationships with friends and neighbours, and growing emotionally strong,” he said.
