Manish Sisodia, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and current MLA from the Patparganj Assembly constituency, has been granted judicial permission to release Rs 3 crore from his MLA funds for various development initiatives within his constituency. The authorisation was issued on Saturday by the court of Special Judge Kaveri Baweja.

Sisodia sought approval to allocate Rs 3 crore from the MLA funds towards development projects spanning Khichripur village, East Vinod Nagar, Resettlement Colony Khichripur, Railway Colony and Mandawali. The sanctioned funds will facilitate several key undertakings, including the beautification of open spaces in Khichripur, enhancing Swati Park in West Vinod Nagar, and installing entrance gates at strategic locations like Mayur Vihar Phase 2 and Firni Mod Khichripur.

In his petition before the court, Sisodia emphasised the urgency and necessity of these development works for the betterment of his constituency. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, presiding over the matter, approved the release of Rs 3 crore from the MLA fund, paving the way for expeditious implementation of the planned projects.
