The slip road which provides access to the National Highway near the YMCA crossing here has been damaged for the past few months, resulting in inconvenience to the motorists and vehicles coming from the Ballabgarh side and going towards Bata crossing. The uneven patches at the site pose a risk to the commuters, especially two-wheeler riders. Poor visibility on the road due to defunct streetlights makes it an accident-prone area. The passage also needs to be re-carpeted and widened for smooth movement of the traffic. Rajkumar Gupta, Faridabad

Public littering and spitting menace

Residents of Gandhi Nagar are troubled by the rampant littering and public spitting in their locality. Walls in buildings and streets are stained by paan-spit. The sight of discarded tobacco packets and spit marks is very ugly and the waste also poses health risks to people and creates insanitary conditions. Urgent action needs to be taken by the local authorities to curb the menace. Stricter penalties and awareness campaigns must be implemented to raise public awareness. Komal, Gandhi Nagar
