Stolen vehicle leads police to gangsters behind Gurugram firing case

A stolen vehicle investigation has led the Delhi Police to uncover connections between gangsters linked to the recent 24-round firing incident in Gurugram on January 14. The breakthrough came when authorities received a tip-off about a car reported stolen in South Delhi, leading to the arrest of three suspects with ties to the Bambhiha and Neeraj Bawania criminal gangs.

The investigation began when police stopped a car, initially thought to be part of a routine theft case. However, when the driver attempted to flee, it quickly escalated intoS a major lead in a high-profile shooting incident.

On January 25-26, Sunil Yadav alias Lala was arrested near Saket. He initially misled authorities but later confessed to stealing the car from Chattarpur Enclave, later found to be from Mehrauli. Following this, Lalit alias Rahul was arrested on January 29 after further investigations revealed he was involved in the theft and had supplied stolen items, including a music system, to Faheem alias Langda, a key associate of the Bambhiha gang.

The trail led to Faheem’s arrest on February 1 in Shaheen Bagh. During questioning, Faheem admitted to providing a stolen motorcycle to the shooters involved in the Gurugram attack.
