The Shahdara North Zone of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) hosted a TB awareness programme at its Zonal Office to raise awareness among sanitation workers. Led by the Deputy Commissioner, the session aimed to educate Safari Karamcharis on the symptoms, prevention and treatment of tuberculosis (TB).

Health experts emphasised the importance of timely medical intervention in combating the disease. Workers were informed about the availability of free TB treatment through various government schemes. Special attention was given to hygiene practices, proper nutrition and the need for regular health check-ups to reduce the risk of

The Deputy Commissioner urged the workers to stay vigilant about their health and assured them the MCD’s health department would provide support in addressing their medical needs. Informational pamphlets and health kits were distributed to the participants.
