Teen domestic help jumps from 3rd floor

However, the girl’s family alleged that she was pushed from the apartment on the third floor. According to the police, a PCR call was received from the LBS Hospital regarding admission of a girl after falling from the roof.
The police said the apartment belonged to Ashok Karnani (49). The statements of the owner’s family members were recorded, the police said.
“The victim had been working as a domestic help in the apartment for the past one year. On the day of the incident, she was allegedly caught by Shweta Karnani, wife of Ashok Karnani (49), while stealing Rs 3,000,” a policeman said.
He said after the girl was caught stealing, she went back to the kitchen and allegedly jumped out of a small window located there.
At the time of the incident, four women members of the Karnani family were present in the flat, the policeman said. The injured was shifted to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where she was undergoing treatment in the ICU, he said. She was declared unfit for giving statement, the Delhi police said.
