The Ministry of Textiles, in collaboration with the National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC), celebrated the 11th National Handloom Day on Tuesday by launching ‘Haat on Wheels’, a mobile handloom marketplace, and an expo at Handloom Haat in Janpath, New Delhi.

The celebration was inaugurated by Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh and Minister of State Pabitra Margherita. This year’s theme, “My Handloom, My Pride; My Product, My Pride”, highlights the value of indigenous craftsmanship and showcases 116 unique weaves from across India. The Expo would run until August 10 at Handloom Haat.
