The Gurugram police on Tuesday arrested three accused over the attack on a District Town Planning enforcement team and police personnel who had reached to demolish illegal warehouses in Kankrola village on Monday.

In this incident, the JCB driver suffered serious head injuries, and the policemen had to run away to save their lives. An FIR was registered at Kherki Daula police station against around 50 people, including Rakesh Hayatpur, Manesar Mayor’s husband.

The arrested were identified as Satyaveer (57), Ajit Kumar (46) and Ram Avtar (49), all residents of Kankrola.

According to the police, District Town Planner (Enforcement) Amit Madholia had along with his team reached Kankrola to carry out demolition of some illegal warehouses and were attacked by a mob, with stones and bricks, opposed to the authorities’ move.
