The event, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs through its autonomous body Mera Yuva Bharat, marks the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution.

The padyatra will begin at 8 am from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, India Gate Circle, and is expected to conclude by 9.30 am at the same location.

The march will be flagged off by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment, along with other dignitaries. Around 10,000 participants are expected to take part in the event.

To facilitate smooth traffic management, no vehicles will be allowed to halt or park on C-Hexagon or the surrounding areas — Tilak Marg, Ashoka Road, Shahjahan Road, Zakir Hussain Marg, Akbar Road, Janpath and surrounding areas.

Improperly parked vehicles will be towed away and impounded at the Traffic Pit near Bhairo Mandir on Bhairon Marg.

“It is further requested to avoid the tunnels of the Pragati Maidan approach to India Gate. Commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the above mentioned roads, if possible, and make the maximum use of public transport to ensure a safe journey,” the advisory read.
