The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) runs a Training of Trainers (TOT) programme for power distribution companies to reduce technical and commercial losses in transmission and distribution systems across the country. Dr Tripta Thakur, Director General of NPTI, inaugurated a two-day training session at the institute’s headquarters on Friday, where over 150 officials from various distribution companies (discoms) were trained. The programme, in collaboration with the Power Finance Corporation (PFC), focuses on junior management and offers both online and offline training.
