Two gang members of the Rohit Godara gang were arrested following a police encounter in which one of them was shot in the leg in the New Ashok Nagar area of East Delhi.

The arrested have been identified as Kartik Jakhar and Kavish. Both are linked to gangster Harry Boxer, who is based in the US and has more than half a dozen cases registered against him.

According to preliminary information, the Special Cell had received information that these criminals would be arriving in the New Ashok Nagar area.

Acting on this tip-off, the team laid a trap to catch them. However, the criminals opened fire on the police party.

In retaliation, the police shot one of them in the leg and overpowered both of them.
