The court of Additional Sessions Judge Ashwani Kumar sentenced two Uttar Pradesh residents to 20 years of imprisonment for raping a minor girl (15) in 2021. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh on each of the convicts.

The complaint regarding the case was filed on May 31, 2021. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Kherki Daula police station under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.

While investigating, the police finally arrested two persons on July 11, 2021. They were identified as Vinod (26) and Aakash (24), natives of Farrukhabad district in Uttar Pradesh. The accused were sent into judicial custody.

After arresting the accused, the police team investigated the case thoroughly, collected all the necessary evidence and witnesses against the accused and presented them in the court.
