Two get seven years in prison for robbing cabbie

According to the police, a taxi driver had filed a complaint that on December 15 in 2023, he was stopped by three youth in Jaikampura colony area when he went to pick up the staff of a private company. The accused took away his phone, money and other valuables after holding him hostage at gunpoint. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at City police station on December 17 in 2023.
While investigating, the police had arrested two accused Ashank alias Sanki of Ambedkar Nagar, Gurugram, and Vicky Giri of New Palam Colony, Farrukhnagar. “On the basis of the charge sheet filed by the Gurugram Police, the court on Monday sentenced both the accused to seven years of rigorous imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 35,000 on both the convicts,” a cop said.
