According to the police, salon operator Mausim, a native of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh along with his co-workers Arif, Sahil and Rihan went to a shopping mall on MG Road on Tuesday due to the closure of the salon.

Returning late at night, they booked the auto-rickshaw of a young man named Sahil from MG Road. They were travelling via Railway Road towards Sector 89 and Raju, the auto driver’s brother, was also with them.

The incident took place around 4.00am, when they were crossing the Garhi-Harsaru flyover. A speeding car struck the auto, causing it to overturn. The driver fled, leaving his car on the spot.
