Dr Girish Tyagi has assumed office as the president of the Delhi Medical Association (DMA), one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious medical organisations, with a legacy spanning over 110 years. He will be joined by Dr Satish Lamba as the Honorary State Secretary, Dr AS Popli as the Finance Secretary, and Dr Neelam Lekhi as the President-elect.
Dr Tyagi brings extensive experience in medical education, healthcare services and medico-social initiatives to his new role. Under his leadership, the DMA played a crucial role during the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting the medical fraternity and public health efforts in Delhi NCR.

The DMA, which represents private practitioners, corporate hospitals, government hospitals and other healthcare professionals, has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the government to address key healthcare challenges in the region.
