Renowned UPSC coaching teacher Avadh Ojha joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the presence of party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday.

“With my debut in politics, the sole aim for me is to work for improving education,” says Ojha.

He thanked Kejriwal for inviting him to the political area to work for improving the education sector.

Kejriwal said, “Whenever a leader joins a party, I say AAP has become stronger but today with Ojha ji, joining the party, I want to say that education has become stronger in the country. AAP has been working the most in improving education in the country… Education is the most important in developing a nation so when he works for AAP in improving education, the nation will develop.”

In a post on X, Kejriwal welcomed Ojha to the party and said, “We will work together to fulfill Baba Saheb’s dream.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
