Vidya Bharati alumni celebrate good ol’ days

The Vidya Bharati Purv Chhatra Parishad – North East Region (Bihar–Jharkhand) – organised its alumni convention, “Purv Chhatra Sangam 2025”, at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. More than 1,000 alumni from across the Delhi NCR participated in the event aimed at reconnecting former students and strengthening their role in social service, education, healthcare, leadership development and nation-building.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Krishna Gopal (Sah-Sarkaryavah, RSS), Govind Chand Mahant (National Organisation Secretary, Vidya Bharati), Prof Chandrachud Singh, Alok Kumar Tiwari, Khyaliram and Rahul Singhal.

Speaking at the gathering, Krishna Gopal said, “Former students are the greatest social capital for any institution. When they work collectively, the process of positive change in society accelerates. A strong nation can emerge only through a balance of the spiritual wisdom of the upanishads and material prosperity.”

Govind Chand Mahant said, “The country gives us everything; now we must learn to contribute to the nation. Vidya Bharati continues to promote Indian culture and values, and it is our shared responsibility to carry this legacy forward.”

Emphasising cultural values, Chandrachud Singh said, “We must never forget the values instilled in us by Vidya Bharati. We are one family, and we must always work with dedication towards India.”

Calling for broader outreach, Khyaliram said there was a need to launch a movement in the fields of education and healthcare.” The programme concluded with alumni taking a pledge to contribute to service, youth engagement, cultural strengthening and national development.
