The poster of 'Cash-M-Kash', a socio-thriller exploring Gandhi’s principles against the backdrop of a material-driven society, was unveiled at the Constitution Club on Friday. Former Minister Vijay Goel and Delhi’s Culture Minister Kapil Mishra presided over the event, which also marked the official launch of the film’s production.

Goel said Gandhi’s values of sacrifice and renunciation remain relevant but have yet to truly reach the younger generation. “Gandhi has been reduced to just a face on currency notes. His essence lies in renunciation and truth, which our youth must learn to embrace,” he said, adding the charkha, used symbolically in the film, was once a rallying cry for Swadeshi.

Mishra praised the filmmakers for choosing a theme beyond quick commercial gains. “Cinema shapes character and dialogue in society. Selecting Gandhi as a subject is courageous and this film has the potential to inspire deeper reflection,” he noted.

Actor Rajpal Yadav, who also attended, likened speaking about Gandhi to “showing a lamp to the sun,” while expressing excitement for the project and extending best wishes to director Ajit Sinha and his team.

Backed by Antimatter Films and Images International, the film stars Aham Sharma, Saie Tamhankar, Adarsh Barik and Pallavi Singh, alongside Govind Pandey. With the charkha serving as a narrative voice, the film seeks to act as a moral conscience observing society’s decline into greed. 'Cash-M-Kash' is slated for release in 2026.
