Wanted criminal, his two associates arrested

Tota faces over 12 criminal cases, including murder, and is known for supplying weapons to his gang members to carry out robberies and other crimes.
Three illegal firearms, seven cartridges and a car were recovered from their possession, the police said.
According to officials, the Sector 17 Crime Unit received information on Sunday night that certain criminals were planning a major crime near the Sector 37 Power House. Acting on the tip-off, a police team raided the spot and apprehended three men. The accused were identified as Sunil, alias Tota, (44), a resident of Dhanwapur village, Sandeep (29), and Rohit, alias Kalia, (27), both residents of Lakhuwas village in Gurugram district.
During the search, the police recovered illegal arms and a vehicle from their possession. Interrogation revealed that Tota, a habitual offender, operated in an organised manner and used illegal weapons to commit crimes. The pistols recovered from the accused had been purchased by Tota from an accomplice in Gurugram for Rs 1 lakh, and later distributed among his associates.
The police said the trio admitted to their involvement in recent assault and extortion cases in Gurugram. “Tota has already been booked in 20 cases, including murder, attempt to murder, theft and offences under the Arms Act, in Gurugram district,” the police spokesperson said.
“Sandeep faces charges of murder, fraud and violations under the Arms Act, while Rohit has previously been booked in Mahendragarh for assault and attempt to murder. In Rewari district, Rohit is accused in multiple cases including murder, criminal intimidation, assault and cheating. Further questioning of the accused is underway,” the spokesperson added.
