New Delhi: Due to the high level of ammonia in the water flowing from the Yamuna river into the Wazirabad pond, 30-50 per cent of water production has been affected at Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant, said the Delhi Jal Board. Therefore, until the situation improves, the supply of water would be available at low pressure in several areas — Majnu Ka Tilla, Vidhan Sabha, Rajghat, Defence Colony, South Extension, Punjabi Bagh, Model Town, Jahangirpuri, Moolchand, Greater Kailash, etc, the DJB said. SC notice to ED on Sanjay’s bail plea
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday asked the ED to respond to AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s bail plea in a money-laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy case. A Bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna issued a notice to the ED on Singh’s petition challenging the Delhi HC’s February 7 order refusing to grant him bail. The Bench clubbed Singh’s bail plea with his petition against his arrest and remand in the money-laundering case after senior counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi submitted on his behalf that the two matters could be tagged. Singh’s petition against his arrest and remand is scheduled to come up for hearing on March 5.
