A 59-year-old woman died after falling from the third floor of a house in Ashok Vihar Phase-3. The police said the initial investigation has revealed the balcony was wet due to rain and the woman’s feet slipped, causing her to fall down.

The police said the deceased, Meenu Singh, lived with her husband and four children. They said her husband GR Singh and son Jitendra Kumar are doctors.

“During investigation it was found that the woman slipped and fell from the balcony. Statements of the family members have been recorded. We handed over the body to kin after postmortem”, said ASI Krishan Kumar, the investigating officer.
