According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Anjali, a native of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh. She got married in February. It is being said that the marriage was against her wishes. A few months after the wedding, she moved in with her friend Kaushal and a missing person report was filed at the police station concerned. Due to family pressure she had returned home.

On November 3, Anjali contacted Kaushal and asked him to go with her to Delhi. After staying in a guest house for a day, they arrived in Gurugram on Tuesday morning and checked into Lakhi Guest House near the railway station. Last night, while Kaushal was asleep, Anjali died by suicide. When Kaushal woke up, he found her body hanging from the ceiling fan of the room.

After getting information, a police team from Sector 4 police chowki reached the spot and took the body into custody. While questioning Kaushal, he said that while he was at the guest house, Anjali was receiving repeated calls from her home, which made her very upset.

“Initial investigation suggests it was a case of suicide. The friend of the deceased was questioned extensively. Family members of the deceased were also called to the spot. They did not file any complaint,” Sub Inspector Narvir Singh said.
