A police official stated that the woman, identified as Mamta, was arrested for her role in the incident that led to the stabbing death of the minor girl. Mamta had been named as one of the accused in the complaint filed with the police.

The investigation revealed that Mamta, who was acquainted with both the victim and the main accused, had called the girl to her house under false pretenses. Once there, Pawan, the main accused, fatally stabbed the girl.

Pawan, who had been previously granted bail in a case involving the abduction of the victim in April of the previous year, was reportedly angered by the police complaint filed against him by the girl’s family, which led to his arrest and imprisonment.

Frustrated by the failed abduction and his time in jail, he is said to have murdered the girl in an act of retaliation.Originally from Khalilabad, Uttar Pradesh, Pawan was arrested on January 25 and remanded to police custody for seven days.
