Delhi’s Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh attended a special programme as part of the Seva Pakhwada at Delhi University’s Aditi College as the chief guest. Addressing the students, he said, “PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India 2047 is not just a government plan but a collective national resolve of 1.4 billion citizens.”

The minister emphasised that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, “the Delhi Government will accomplish the goal of realising Developed Delhi through the empowerment of the underprivileged and persons with disabilities.”

The Cabinet Minister commended students who donated blood, calling blood donation “the greatest service to humanity”. He also appreciated the science models on water conservation and green initiatives, highlighting India’s achievement as “a global leader in solar energy with a production capacity of 100 GW”.

Praising a street play performed by students on Developed India and social issues, Singh appealed for active participation in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign, and in making the anti-drug initiative “a mass movement to provide a healthy and safe environment for future generations.”

Highlighting initiatives under the Seva Pakhwada, the minister said, “In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Divyang-Empowered, Capable India,’ Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has gifted the Atal Drishti Hostel in Timarpur for visually impaired college-going girls and the Atal Asha Home in Narela for persons with mental disabilities.”

He also assured students that the Delhi Government was ensuring timely and full benefits of scholarships for SC, ST and OBC students.

Sharing India’s achievements under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Ravinder Indraj said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of transforming India into a prosperous and self-reliant nation by 2047, the centenary of India’s independence. Under his leadership, the country is moving towards becoming a developed economy after achieving the milestone of a 5-trillion-dollar economy.”

The minister further highlighted, “About 12 crore toilets have been built in villages, freeing women from open defecation and ensuring better health and a life of dignity. As many as 81 per cent of the households now have tap water connections, 78 crore people have received free health insurance under Ayushman Bharat, India provides the world’s cheapest internet data, and under the Digital India Mission, the country leads the world in UPI digital payments, with all government scheme funds transferred directly to beneficiaries’ accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).”
