A 26-year-old man was shot in Malviya Nagar on the night of Tuesday, following an alleged monetary dispute, police officials said.

The incident occurred around 9.30 pm. Upon reaching the spot, the police found that Vikas, the victim, was attacked by three individuals who arrived in a car, fired a bullet at him and fled the scene, abandoning their vehicle.

“The incident was reported by a resident of Malviya Nagar, who informed us that his nephew, Vikas, had been shot. The suspects fled the scene, leaving their car behind, while Vikas was rushed to the hospital,” a police official said. “Our teams recovered a live cartridge, an empty cartridge and other crucial exhibits,” the official added.

Initial inquiries revealed that Rahul, who was present at the scene, identified the attackers as Anish, a resident of Sonepat, along with his friend Ritik and another accomplice.
