The shooting took place around 10:45 pm local time on October 7 in a parking lot near the intersection of McVean Drive and Castlemore Road. Police said gunshots were fired during an altercation between two separate groups. One person sustained injuries, though they were not considered serious.

After an extensive investigation, police identified three individuals linked to one of the groups involved. On November 20, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Caledon, leading to the arrests.

The accused, 3 brothers, have been identified as Manjot Bhatti, Navjot Bhatti, and Amanjot Bhatti. A fourth suspect remains unidentified and is still being sought by police.

Manjot Bhatti has been charged with multiple offences, including intentional reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and occupying a vehicle while knowing a firearm was present. Police said his bail hearing is pending at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, and he has since been released on bail.

Navjot Bhatti and Amanjot Bhatti are accused of travelling in a vehicle while aware that a firearm was inside. Both were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Peel Regional Police said they are still searching for the individual seen firing the gun. The suspect is described as a South Asian male and was captured on video wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white running shoes.
