As the California fires rage towards decimation, spirits of victims and first-responders alike, remain resilient. While loses can be hard to navigate, solidarity has assisted in limiting the damage. The video shows members of Sikh community of Sacramento, in conversation with US Army colonel Robert Wooldridge. The conversation appears to have taken place during vegetarian dinner service conducted by the community for those helping fire victims.

The 40th Infantry Division’s Deputy Commanding Officer can be heard expressing his gratitude as he says that it warmed his heart seeing so many of his colleagues being offered services like clothing and food as they continue their work.

Furthermore, as a gesture of appreciation, Colonel Wooldridge presents a member (of the community) with a division displaying, what he calls, ‘A ball of flame’. The coin represents every battle the US military fought (and won) since its inception.

The video also managed to rack appreciative replies from many individuals, with many complementing the values of the Sikh religion.
