The elite client list included doctors, lawyers, public officials, and government contractors, according to the report. The investigation revealed that the men allegedly paid up to $600 per hour for sex with predominantly Asian women.

Wall Street Journal reported: "They were named in court documents last month, accusing them all of paying hundreds of dollars per hour for sex and a “girlfriend experience” with predominantly Asian women being exploited through sex trafficking."

Bajpayee, the CEO of Gradiant, holds a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and began his career with research roles at the institute.

Amid calls for his resignation, the company has issued a statement defending its CEO and said, "We believe in the justice system and are confident that this will resolve favorably in due course. Unrelated to this, Gradiant will continue to pursue excellence in technological innovation and to strive towards our mission to ensure clean water for all society."
