24 in 24: Kanwalpreet Singh drops 24 AI-powered music videos in 24 hours, scripting a world record

A Chandigarh native, Kanwalpreet has been part of the entertainment industry since 2013, with work spanning Hindi, Punjabi and Marathi cinema. Unlike the common actor-to-singer trend seen in Pollywood, he ventured into singing relatively late in his career.
Starting with the song ‘Punjabi’ in 2020 — a collaboration with composer Angel Beats and lyricist Simranjit Singh Hundal — he hasn’t looked back since. With ‘11:11’, he embraced the challenge head-on, even doubling up as lyricist and working closely with the editor to complete the ambitious project within the record timeframe.
“Every big idea begins with a spark. For us, that spark came from revisiting the legacy of Sidhu Moosewala,” he shares. “Just like he once released an album with 30 songs, we began to ask ourselves — why can’t we create something that not only pays tribute to such creativity but also brings a fresh wave into the music and film industry?”
That spark connected him with Rohit Kumar, founder of Bold Framee Entertainment, who came on board as producer. After several false starts and frequent travel between Mumbai and Chandigarh, the team resolved to see the project through.
On 23 September, the day of the world record, their first song was rendered at 11.10 am and went live exactly one minute later, as scheduled.
“Oh, the nerves that morning,” recalls Kanwalpreet. “Our editor Munna hadn’t slept for over two and a half days. Rohit and I were awake for close to 40 hours!”
The 24-song album brought together a team of lyricists — Gopi Sidhu, Hakam, Ravi, Raju Verma, Arhaan and Jaswinder Singh — as well as singers Harry Barry and Sonalika Dhar, in addition to Kanwalpreet and Rohit themselves.
“We’ve kept our subjects close to real life — Maa, Bapu, Chai, Coffee, Daru and Bhangra,” he explains. Some of the titles include ‘Meri Maa’, ‘Jatt Di Marriage’, ‘Gabru Di Yes’, ‘Insta Queen’ and ‘ZLokan De Chehre’.
As for the role of AI in the creative process, Kanwalpreet remains reflective: “Everything has its pros and cons. While we’re currently enjoying the time-saving benefits of AI, it will eventually start to sting when it begins replacing real people and real jobs.”
And the name ‘11:11’? While many today see it as a number of manifestation, for Kanwalpreet, it holds a personal connection — it’s also his date of birth.
