‘Born to renowned Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan and Telugu actress Pushpavalli, Rekha is a Bollywood icon. She made her Bollywood debut with Sawan Bhadon (1970) and since then there has been no looking back. With a career spanning nearly 40 years, the actress has effortlessly evolved and redefined beauty, grace and versatility in Indian cinema.

From a simple, young girl in her earlier films, Rekha has evolved to become a style icon and a powerhouse performer. However, Rekha’s personal life was often under the media’s lens. Her rumoured relationship with Amitabh Bachchan has often been the talk of the town!

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
