Aetasha Sansgiri prepares for Punyashlok Ahilyabai

The historical show Punyashlok Ahilyabai navigates through the extraordinary life of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar and recently, there was a seven-year leap that basically marked an altogether new chapter in Ahilyabai’s life – Yuva Adhyay. Aetasha Sansgiri has been essaying the role of grown-up Ahilyabai Holkar. And, the actress had to extensively prepare for her role.

Says Aetasha, “I believe that for an actor, everything is about preparation. Once the camera starts rolling, you don’t want to be acting, but bringing out the character in the best possible manner. To get into the skin of my character, I attended extensive workshops, worked on my language and diction, and undertook exhaustive horse-riding lessons. I wish to leave no stone unturned to exhibit authenticity in my portrayal because there is no other way I will be able to do a convincing job. I am just looking forward to see the viewers’ reactions.”
