Collective Media Network’s Historyverse has announced an innovative AI-powered reimagination of Mahabharat, India’s most revered epic. The new series is set to premiere exclusively on the digital platform WAVES OTT on October 25, 2025, with a subsequent television broadcast on Doordarshan every Sunday at 11.00 am, starting November 2, 2025. The show would be available simultaneously to digital viewers across India and internationally via WAVES OTT.

This pioneering collaboration combines the extensive reach and legacy of India’s public broadcaster with the creative expertise of a next-generation media network. By harnessing cutting-edge AI technology, the series reconstructs the expansive Mahabharat universe — its characters, battlefields, emotional depth and complex moral conflicts — with cinematic grandeur and vivid realism.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
