Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on Thursday morning at Mumbai hospital, with wife and actress Neetu Kapoor by his side. 

Son, Ranbir Kapoor was reportedly at the hospital all this while. Actress and girlfriend Alia Bhatt was snapped by the paparazzi arriving at the hospital.

Police have been deployed outside the medical facility.

Rishi Kapoor’s family had issued a statement earlier, urging fans of the veteran actor to maintain the restrictions. 

“In this hour of personal loss, we also recognise the world is going through a very difficult and troubled time. There are numerous restrictions around movement and gathering in public. We would like to request all his fans and well-wishers and friends of the family to please respect the laws that are in force. He would not have it any other way.”
