Amika Shail wraps up shoot for her web show with Disney+ Hotstar

The singer-turned-actress Amika Shail is all set to enthral her fans in an upcoming web series to be released on Disney Hotstar in April. The working title of the fifteen-episode web series is Nachaniya.

Directed by Shraddha Pasi, the series revolves around three female friends who entertain people in villages with dance performances.

Speaking about the project, Amika says, “The name of my character is Dhaani and it is of a very naive village belle. It is very different from what I am in real life. Dhaani is not career-oriented and her only goals are to find her prince charming and get married. All she thinks of is setting up her marital home and living a life with her husband.”

The family-drama features actors such as Vikram Singh Chauhan, Sandeepa Dhar, Nimai Bali and Deepak Qazir among others. Amika further says, “Shraddha is a fantastic director and knows how to get the best output. I am grateful to God that I am getting to explore myself more and more as an actor. I am hoping that it gets the same love from my audiences that Gandii Baat, Laxmii, and Mirzapur 2 got.”
