The 19th Guru ML Koser Award will be bestowed upon Delhi-based tabla maestro Vinod Pathak and Chandigarh-based sitar player Pandit Harvinder Sharma on October 15 at the Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. The announcement was made during a meet held at the Press Club, which was presided by Shobha Koser, registrar, Samira Koser, deputy registrar and Prof. Meera Madan, member, general body of the Kendra.

The ceremony will be followed by tabla and sitar performances by the awardees. Padma Vibhushan Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt will be the chief guest.

Meanwhile, Samira informed that the Kendra would also be celebrating the silver jubilee of its monthly baithak series being held since the last 25 years. In its 300th episode, many eminent and young artists would perform.
