For Bollywood choreographer, Ashley Lobo, the invitation to put up a performance at the prestigious Landestheatre, comes the second time around. Ashley will recreate the magic in 2021 with world-class ballet dancers and ensure once again, that the world stops and applauds an Indian who has always created wonders with contemporary dance forms.

Says Ashley, “With Landestheater Linz the most memorable thing of all was the dancers. They were all professional ballet dancers, extremely talented, open and hard-working and with 20 years of ballet training. Hopefully, we will have such dancers coming out of our dance schools in the next ten years.”

While the last time around, Ashley based the show on Yama, this time it will be more of a theme-based presentation on Buddha or the ‘path of balance.’ When asked whether Ashley would be taking his Indian dancers to debut on the celebrated stage, he said the invitation to choreograph has come from the ballet company there and, “the idea seems worth a thought.”
