Bobby clarified that contrary to speculation, Dharmendra is not living alone.
“My mum is also there. They're both at the farm in Khandala right now. Papa and Mummy are together; he just gets a little dramatic,” Bobby shared. He added that the couple enjoys a peaceful life at the farmhouse, which Dharmendra has turned into a “paradise.”
Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur in 1954 at the age of 19, before his rise to stardom. They have four children together: Sunny, Bobby, Vijeeta, and Ajeeta. Years later, he married actress Hema Malini, and they have two daughters — Esha and Ahana Deol.
While Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s iconic on-screen chemistry and off-screen relationship have long fascinated fans, Hema had previously addressed their separate living arrangement. In a 2023 interview with Lehren Retro, Hema said: “Nobody wants to be like that; it happens automatically. Every woman wants to have a husband, children, like a normal family. But somewhere, it went out of the way.”
She added, “I am not feeling bad about it. I am happy with myself. I have my two children and I have brought them up very well."
Bobby also praised his mother, Prakash Kaur, for her strength and resilience, noting that she has largely stayed away from the public eye. “You don't hear about my mother much because people don't usually ask us about her. She's the strongest woman I've ever met. She came from a small village and had to adjust to city life as the wife of a superstar. It wasn't easy.”
He credited his mother for being a key support system for Dharmendra, saying, “It is because of my mother's support that my father became a big star".
