Dilip Kumar’s brothers Ehsan Khan and Aslam Khan were admitted to Lilavati hospital last week after both of them tested positive for Covid-19. Aslam, the younger brother of the veteran actor, passed away early on Friday morning. He had diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease. The news of his death was confirmed by Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Last Saturday, after Aslam complained of breathlessness, he was rushed to the hospital, along with Eshan. Oxygen saturation of both had dropped below 80 per cent. While Aslam is no more, Eshan continues to be in critical condition. Eshan is about 90 years of age while Aslam Khan was around 88.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
