Discovery has released the trailer of the documentary Bhuj: The Day India Shook, which is set to premiere on June 11. This special documentary highlights a story of bravery, heroism, miracle-rescuers, misfortune, tragedy and hope.

The incident is uncovered through exceptional storytelling skills of veteran actor Anupam Kher. It documents the survivors of the quake, gathers eyewitness’ accounts and first-hand footage of the event. Twenty years later, the premium documentary re-traces the steps of this destructive event.

Says Anupam Kher, “Every little aspect of the incident gave me goose-bumps. Narrating this premium documentary was an emotional journey for me and my heart goes out to every individual, every survivor, every family that was impacted by this unforeseen disaster…”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
