Drug racket: Preetika Chauhan arrested by NCB

On October 25, the Narcotics Control Bureau registered two cases in which six people were arrested under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Among those arrested is popular television actress Preetika Chauhan. Preetika, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, is known for her roles in shows like Savdhaan India, Maa Vaishno Devi and Hanuman, among others.

A team of Mumbai Zonal Unit apprehended two people in Versova on Saturday and seized 99 grams of ganja from their possession. After recording confessions, a supplier by the name Faisal and Preetika Chauhan, who was the receiver, were arrested. Both of them were presented in a designated court on Sunday for remand and further investigations are underway.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
